April 2004 Bournelodge lands major portfolio deal: Bournelodge has secured its first major deal with the acquisition of the McNicholas Portfolio. McNicholas Construction, the private construction and civil engineering business with a turnover in excess of £200 million, has sold a portfolio of properties valued at over £14 million comprising nine properties in the South-East and Midlands. Four of the properties including the company’s headquarters will be leased back by McNicholas on new 15 year leases. Three other properties will be leased back on shorter leases and these have development potential which will be worked up by bournelodge. The portfolio also includes an investment property and 14 acres of vacant land. Bournelodge has acquired the portfolio in joint venture with a private investor.
